Focused lakefront service

A practical way to reclaim the water you actually use.

ClearDock focuses on targeted areas around docks, shorelines and swimming zones—then removes the collected vegetation from your property.

Initial clearing

A concentrated first visit to cut, rake and collect accessible aquatic vegetation in the agreed treatment area.

Custom quote after assessment

Recurring maintenance

Scheduled return visits help keep regrowth manageable after the initial clearing throughout the active season.

Seasonal plans available

Root & bottom conditioning

An optional, more intensive pass to loosen accessible roots and agitate the upper lake bottom after vegetation is cut.

Separate scope—not dredging

Straightforward from shore to haul-away

What to expect.

Every property is different, so we define the work area and expectations before the crew gets started.

Assess the area

We look at access, approximate square footage, vegetation density, depth and disposal volume.

Confirm the quote

You receive a written scope showing the agreed work area, included services and price.

Cut, rake & collect

The crew manually works the targeted zone using specialized cutters and lake rakes.

Load & haul away

Collected vegetation is removed from your property—not left in piles along the shoreline.

Clear expectations

What we can—and cannot—remove.

Manual removal is effective for many accessible rooted and floating aquatic plants, but lake conditions and vegetation types vary.

Typical service targets

  • Accessible submerged and rooted vegetation around docks
  • Cuttable weeds in shoreline and swimming areas
  • Loose or floating vegetation that can be raked and collected
  • Seasonal regrowth inside an established maintenance area

iLimits of manual removal

  • Algae and duckweed may not be removable by this process
  • Deep water or inaccessible areas may be outside the work zone
  • We do not dredge, excavate sediment or chemically treat water
  • Results depend on species, bottom conditions and regrowth
Important: ClearDock removes accessible vegetation in a defined area. We do not promise permanent removal, a weed-free lake or improved water clarity.

Local lakefront service

Launching around Metro Detroit lakes.

Our initial service focus includes lakefront communities around Belleville Lake and Ford Lake, with additional Metro Detroit locations considered based on route availability.

Coordinate with your neighbors

Adjacent properties scheduled together may qualify for group pricing because the crew can work one shoreline more efficiently.

Common questions

Before we visit your shoreline.

Do you use herbicides or chemicals?

No. The planned service is manual and chemical-free: accessible vegetation is cut, raked, collected and hauled away.

Will the weeds stay gone permanently?

No manual service can promise permanent removal. Aquatic vegetation may regrow, which is why recurring seasonal maintenance can be useful after the initial clearing.

Do you leave the vegetation on my lawn?

No. Collected vegetation is loaded and hauled away from the property as part of the quoted service.

Can you remove algae or duckweed?

Those conditions may not be removable with manual cutters and rakes. We will identify visible limitations during the assessment and exclude unsuitable work from the quote.

Is root and bottom conditioning the same as de-mucking?

No. It is a targeted pass intended to loosen some accessible roots and agitate the upper lake bottom. It is not dredging, sediment excavation or full de-mucking.

How is the price determined?

Quotes reflect the treatment area, vegetation density, water access and depth, crew time, removal volume, travel and any optional bottom-conditioning work.
